Myriam Vergne, vp sales emea di Euronews

Engaged in a strategic business transformation with its ambitious development plan ‘Euronews NEXT’, Euronews reinforces its Sales department with the creation of a new position of vp sales, emea.

As of April 3, 2017, Myriam Vergne, from The Economist Group, joins Euronews Group and will be based at the Paris office. She will play a key role in the development of the group’s new commercial strategy for the region with the aim of increasing Euronews and Africanews market share and accelerating long-term sustainable revenue growth.

Myriam will lead and manage the Paris, London, Berlin and Dubai offices’ teams in charge of sales across EMEA and Latin America.

With over 20 years’ experience, Myriam Vergne is a high-profile and much respected professional in the media industry. From 2010, Myriam was The Economist Group’s Sales Director Economist Brands, where she managed the transition from print to digital while maintaining a market share leadership position. In addition to these responsibilities, Myriam was Publisher EMEA for the bi-monthly lifestyle magazine ‘Intelligent Life’.
In 2009, Myriam became Head of Europe (Ex UK) for all Economist’s brands where she also led the commercial teams for Economist Intelligence Unit, the B2B wing of the Economist Group as well as the commercial side for the Conference Business.

Prior to joining the Economist Group in 1992, Myriam started her career with Publicis-Optimedia as a Media strategist and International Media buyer.
Board member of the IAA, International Advertising Association (2005-2008), Myriam was also Chair (2015-2007) and Treasurer (2014) of the association The Internationals which brings together the international print media based in Paris. Myriam Vergne has also been a Mentor within PWN (Professional Women’s Network) helping women to evolve in their professional career.
The dual French-Austrian citizen, born in Switzerland, studied in Paris and graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the ISC Paris Business School.
